There’s no better way to experience the beauty of Baja Mexico's Sea of Cortez than sea kayaking and snorkeling through the warm and gentle waters surrounding Espiritu Santo Island. What better way to create your own magical escape over Halloween?
A remarkably easy sport, sea kayaking in Baja on the wonderful Sea of Cortez in Mexico provides a magical environment in which to learn kayaking skills so that you can become a confident paddler. Sea kayaks are easier to paddle and steer than a canoe and are also more stable than canoes – especially for women who have lower centers of gravity.
You’ll enjoy exploring the Baja and Sea of Cortez area by sea kayak, paddling into beautiful bays and snorkeling to a sea lion rookery, hiking canyons adorned with hanging wild figs, and bird watching. Knowledgeable local Mexican guides, a comfortable “safari-style” beach camp, and fresh American and traditional Mexican cuisine make this Baja sea kayaking trip a great antidote for the pre-winter, pre-holiday rush.
As a splendid finale, we’ll return to La Paz, Mexico for an additional night, to wander through the gift shops and street vendor stalls, stroll along the waterfront area of this tranquil Mexican port, and gather together for a traditional Mexican cooking class and farewell dinner.
