Overview
The Temagami Outfitting Company is located in the village of Temagami, in the True North of Northern Ontario Canada. The company was established nearly a century ago and is the only outfitter with its main base in town. The company’s first owner, Arthur Stevens, came to Temagami in 1905 and ran the business until 1945. Early outfitting records show green 16-foot cedar canvas canoes renting for $1.00. Other gear, including tents, rented for just pennies a day. Over the years, it has become a rendezvous point for canoeists and adventurers paddling through the region, many of whom have traveled from all over the world to experience this pristine wilderness.
Today Dean Pearson and his family with over 35 years of canoeing and guiding experience in the Temagami region own and operate The Temagami Outfitting Company.

Island Cabin Enjoy privacy, comfort and relaxation, at an island cabin located 15 miles from town on the beautiful northeast arm of Lake Temagami. Take a refreshing swim, or put your feet up and enjoy a good book. Explore the small uninhabited islands in the bay behind the cabin or set out on a day trip to discover hidden side lakes and waterways. These secluded areas offer great fishing and plenty of opportunities for outstanding landscape and wildlife photography.
The main cabin has a fireplace, wood stove, and beautiful furnishings including a full-size double bed. Temagami has a newly remodeled kitchen with French doors that lead out to the back deck where you can enjoy the sunrise. The screened in porch is perfect for viewing evening sunsets. There is a full bath with hot and cold running water and a flush toilet. The dock has a swim ladder and plenty of room to tie off your boat. In addition, Temagami has constructed a cozy sleep cabin with a bunk bed and a double sleeper couch. Because there is no electric or hydro on the northeast arm of the lake, they have a generator to run the electrical necessities that you will need during your stay. There are push button starters in the main and sleep cabin for your convenience.
